Pathology

Well, my worst fears have been confirmed. My Father's pathology report came back positive for one node. I'm trying to remain positive, upbeat and strong for him.

This means some radiation and some form of chemotherapy is in his future. Dad remains stoic and strong as usual. Man, nothing can shake this guy and that's good; a real trooper. He'll be here in Palm Springs for another week will hopefully be strong enough to fly back to Indianapolis. My brother, Chance, will fly here from Florida to assist otherwise as I will be in Europe.

So I urge you guys out there again: get a colonoscopy if you are of the age.

....can't afford it.
Doesn't matter I'm a vet, either. I only served the three years, went to V.N. and got an honorable discharge, but, dang! Sometimes when they get their hands on you, the choices are all theirs, none yours.

Sorry for your Dad.
This may sound like a terrible thing to say, but, after seeing both parents pass, I have found that, hey. Maybe it's time to give them back a great Christmas.

(I don't know your religion...I'm just visiting, so I'm not peddling philosophy)

Ma got a really nice tv set before she went in for her last operation, and we absolutely made sure her apartment was packed with films she loved.
'Course, it did take me a couple days to teach her how to use a VCR, and, sadly, neither her or I ever figured out how to set the clock on the darned thing!
