Check ups

Yesterday my Father underwent surgery for colon cancer. He's doing okay considering what he has gone through. I never thought that this would be a reality in my own family but this has injected me with a huge, painful dose of perspective on my own mortality, not to mention everyone I love.

So I encourage you men out there over 40 to get a colonoscopy. If my father had had this checkup when he was 50 (he's 67 now) he probably would not be in this situation right now. Do it for yourselves and your family.
